Who we are

who
The RAJASTHANI-INDIANS SAMAJ OF IRELAND (RISI) COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE is a registered company in the Republic of Ireland. Here ‘Samaj’ is a Hindi word used in this title for a ‘Society’ word in the English language. RISI is one of the ethnic community associations or organisations in Ireland. Initially, this was incorporated on Sunday, 18th March 2008 in a ‘general get-together event’ in Swords, Co. Dublin which was called by the key persons of the ‘Rajasthani-Indians Community’ in Ireland. In this ‘get-together event’, a majority of our community members had voiced for a need to associate ourselves/our families to practice our own social values and cultural heritage while living in Ireland under the banner of RISI.  Since the foundation of RISI, it had received a huge recognition and support from a number of organisations in the accomplishment of our clear mission and objects. We are very grateful to The Embassy of India in Dublin, the Fingal County Council, the Fingal Ethnic Network, New Communities Partnership, Institute of United Culture, South Dublin County Council and a number of similar social and ethnic community organisations for their kindly support. We hugely admire the ongoing support of our donors and sponsors. Although we have our own resources and potentials, but we take all opportunity to liaise, to coordinate with other similar organisations for mutual-benefit in accomplishing our objects. RISI is one of the founding member organisations of the Federation of Indian Communities in Ireland (FICI) since 21st August 2015.
